| Eastern Regional Dragon Boat Association (ERDBA) Member Benefits |
1. ERDBA membership provides eligibility to race in national and international championship events. ERDBA is involved in the selection process to field the regional teams for national events and participates in the selection of the national team for international events.
2. The ERDBA being under the United States Dragon Boat Federation (USDBF) is under the insurance policy of the USDBF. ERDBA member teams and festivals can get the reduced cost insurance policies for their team and events from the USDBF umbrella policy.
3. The ERDBA provides incentives for member teams to go and promote the ERDBA member festivals and vice versa by reducing the annual ERDBA membership fees for the following year. The ERDBA festival event members are encouraged to reduce their entrance fees to ERDBA member teams at their Dragon Boat Festivals.
4. ERDBA members get reduced entry fees for events sponsored by the ERDBA, such as: the indoor.
5. ERDBA team members can get certain discounts from supporting ERDBA commercial vendors.
6. ERDBA member team, festival events and commercial vendors have links to the ERDBA website to promote their team, event or product.
7. The ERDBA helps promote and advertises the ERDBA festival and event member’s event during meetings, newsletter, website and network of contacts.
8. ERDBA supports race organizers by: providing advice and
help in organizing and running their festivals (eg. helping to transport boats, providing officials, setting up schedules, recruiting teams, set up, break down, etc).
9. The ERDBA a forum for networking and socializing Dragon Boat Racing and Culture in the eastern region of the United States.
